There are many components required when building a website.  Many of our customers contact us requesting a website without giving any thought as to what information they want to display or what they are trying to achieve.  To elaborate, are you wishing to display your company information, your products and services or a combination of both.

Putting together a website is a collaboration between the customer (you) and our design team.

The designer will obtain as much information from you as they can before they even pick up the mouse and start designing.  Some of things you need to think about are as follows;

• What information do you want to display? e.g. Product/Company information, who you are and what services you offer etc.
• How do you want the information to be displayed? i.e. Page layout (if you're unsure, we have tried and tested layouts).
• Do you want to be able to edit any sections yourself? i.e. CMS (content managed) e.g. update company news, spotlights or restaurant menus etc.
• Do you need to capture user information or data? e.g. name, email address, contact us details or customer profiles etc.

The Design Process

After getting a feel for what the customer wants and how they want their site to work, we will set about designing a 'mock up image' of the site.  The mock up will be emailed to you so we can discuss any amendments you may wish to make.  Once we have received your feedback, we will update the 'mock up' and refer it back to you for final approval.

During this design phase, you will collate the information required by us to populate the website e.g. about us text, contact us information, product data and images etc.

Once the design has been completed and we have populated the site with the information you provided, we'll have one final review before pushing the site live.

Reporting and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Once your website is live, you will be able to track your customer visits.  Websauce will plug your site in to Google Analytics, which provides a wealth of information about the visitors to your site, what they looked at and how they found you etc.  This information can help you determine how to refine your content and make improvements to your page ranking.
