This advantage of this means the language is completely cross browser compatible and users do not have to enable or disable anything for the code to work.

The web is changing and browsers are becoming a lot more versatile. In the past when you wanted to update information in a web page, you’d click a link, the page would reload and the information you requested would be displayed. AJAX enables the developer to pull data from other sites, databases, XML files or text files and display it anyway on the page without the need for the page to reload. This has enabled many sites like EasyJet to provide a fully functional booking system without the page ever having to reload. This gives the user a much greater visual experience.

JQUERY and Plug-in Development

jQuery is a toolkit for JavaScript that greatly enhances it power. There are lots of websites out there that have moving tabs, light boxes, accordions and many more really nice graphical effects that enhance a webpage's look and feel. A lot of these effects are done using jQuery and the dozens of plug-ins you can download to for it.
